Fred Crandall, PHD

Managing Director

An internationally recognized expert in human resources matters, Fred has spoken at national and global forums and co-authored three books, including The Headcount Solution: How to Cut Compensation Costs and Keep Your Best People and Work and Rewards in the Virtual Workplace: A New Deal for Organizations and Employees (the 1999 SHRM Book of the Year). Fred has previously served as Consulting Director for Willis Towers Watson, Founding Partner of The Center for Workforce Effectiveness, National Practice Director at Sibson & Co., National Partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and a faculty member of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Fred holds a Ph.D. in industrial relations from the University of Minnesota, as well as degrees from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and the University of California at Berkeley. He is a past president of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Foundation.

Howard Gamer

Director

Howard graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1980. In 1982, he began working for PBG Financial Services Ltd, a public CPA firm located in Northbrook, Illinois. In 1984, he became a partner in the firm. Today, he is Managing Partner, with a majority interest in the company. PBG has twenty-three employees. In addition to the accounting practice, Howard founded and owns a payroll service enterprise and a Registered Investment Advisory firm that manages over thirty-five million dollars in assets. Since 1981, Howard has been a member of AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society. He is also a member of Vistage International, an organization of CEOs. Currently, he is a board member of the Children's Heart Foundation.

Suzanne Silberman

Senior Consultant

Suzanne's fifteen years of experience encompasses a broad array of human resources functions including recruitment, benefits, regulatory compliance, training, employee relations, and compensation. Suzanne has held various human resources positions with large corporate, financial, and educational organizations, as well as entrepreneurial companies and not-for-profit institutions. Most recently, Suzanne was the Manager of Recruitment and Benefits for a university in the Chicago area. Suzanne holds an M.S. in Human Resources from Loyola University Chicago as well as a B.A. with Honors in Sociology from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
